Dubai Land Department Launches “Digital Sale” Service on Dubai Now App

A New Era of Fully Digital Real Estate Transactions

As part of its participation in GITEX Global 2025, the Dubai Land Department (DLD) has launched the first version of its innovative “Digital Sale” service on the Dubai Now app.
This milestone marks another major step forward in Dubai’s digital transformation journey and reflects its commitment to the goals of the Dubai Real Estate Strategy 2033 and the Dubai Economic Agenda D33.

By enabling property registration and sales to be completed entirely online, the new service sets a new benchmark for efficiency, transparency, and reliability in real estate transactions — strengthening Dubai’s vision of a sustainable, knowledge-driven digital economy.

Seamless, Paperless, Anytime Transactions

Through the Dubai Now app, users can now complete the entire property registration and sale process digitally.
Both buyer and seller can sign electronically using the UAE Pass application, allowing them to finalize transactions securely, anytime and anywhere, 24/7.

The service reflects the Government of Dubai’s directive to unify all public services through digital channels, creating a smoother, faster, and more secure real estate transaction experience.
Once the seller signs the contract and sends it to the buyer through the platform, and the buyer transfers the payment into the designated account, the ownership certificate is instantly issued in the buyer’s name — a fully remote, end-to-end digital process.

Redefining Trust, Transparency, and Security

The Digital Sale service was designed around three core values: security, trust, and transparency.
By integrating advanced digital verification and blockchain-grade security protocols, DLD ensures that every transaction meets the highest standards of accuracy and safety.
The initiative not only improves operational efficiency but also strengthens Dubai’s reputation as a global leader in digital governance and sustainable real estate innovation.

Driving Continued Growth in Dubai’s Property Market

Following the strong performance of Dubai’s real estate market in recent years, the Digital Sale service is expected to play a vital role in sustaining this growth momentum.
It builds an innovation-driven ecosystem and expands the possibilities for fully digital real estate services — reinforcing Dubai’s position as the world’s premier destination for real estate investment.

Eligibility and Requirements

To ensure smooth processing, DLD has outlined the following requirements for Digital Sale transactions:

  • Both buyer and seller must have a valid UAE Pass account and Emirates ID.
  • The property must be located in a freehold area and classified as residential, commercial, or townhouse.
  • The property must be owned by a single individual and must be mortgage-free.
  • The transaction must be conducted through a UAE-based bank account.

Dubai Now: A Comprehensive City Service Platform

Available on App Store and Google Play, the Dubai Now app is the UAE’s most comprehensive city services platform,
offering over 350 digital services from more than 50 public and private institutions — covering payments, real estate, healthcare, transportation, and more.

Technology-Driven Market Transparency

During GITEX Global 2025, DLD also showcased the Real Estate Instant Registration Platform,
an advanced interactive dashboard that displays real-time property transaction data across Dubai’s districts,
enhancing market transparency and investor confidence.

In addition, DLD announced several forward-looking digital initiatives aimed at accelerating digital transformation,
improving customer experience, and enhancing operational efficiency —
further strengthening Dubai’s competitiveness and ensuring the long-term sustainability of its real estate sector.
